  2. also known as “the booker” in professional wrestling; he or she is responsible for writing the story lines, angles, putting together matches and their outcomes

The Pencil was started by professional wrestling veteran Renny D. Renny D asked his best friend Travis “Durty” Mester to join him as the shows co-host. The Pencil debuted in August 2014. Each week Renny D and Mester break down the previous week’s wrestling action on the show as well as keep it entertaining and fun. Renny brings in his experience as an indy wrestler into the fold, along with his knowledge of business, to look at the product in a different light than most wrestling podcasts. The Pencil looks at the business decisions and how it affects the bottom line and the future of the company, the wrestler, and the angle.
